Giacomo Meyerbeer (Jakob Liebmann Beer)
Born: Vogelsdorf, near Berlin (Kingdom of Prussia), 5 Sept. 1791
Died: Paris, 2 May 1864
Meyerbeer changed his name in homage to his grandfather (Liebmann Meyer),
the most influential (and wealthy!) member of the family.
